Tournament Rules

Liability Release: All teams must have a signed liability release on file with tournament headquarters prior to the start of your first game. Click HERE for form.

Weather Policy: Inclement weather is out of the control of the tournament directors and officials. In the event of inclement weather, all games will go on as scheduled unless Ultimate Goal is closed. Should Ultimate Goal be closed no make-up date will be scheduled.

GAMEPLAY

  • Format: Championship Format

  • Games: Each Team will play (4) Four, 25 minute games (running time) Games will be 8 v 8 (2 attack, 3 midfield, 2 defenders and 1 goalie).

  • Contact: Full Checking for Open, Varsity, & JV Divisions. Modified checking for Modified & 5/6 Divisions. No checking at K/2 or 3/4 divisions. No deliberate body contact may be initiated, either offensively or defensively. Incidental body contact is to be expected (i.e. ground balls & side lines)

  • Penalties: A player receiving a yellow card will be sent off the field for 1 minute and a substitute player can replace her. A player receiving a second yellow card in the same game will be sent off the field for the remainder of the game and not allowed to participate in additional games

  • Time: Games will be One 25 minute period - running time. There will be 5 minutes between games. Time will be kept on centralized clock with horn sounding at the beginning and end of each game. Games can start early should both teams be ready prior to the 25min mark.

  • Draws: There will be one draw to start the game and then it will be goalie clears after each goal.

  • Substitutions: Because games are running time all substitutions will be on the fly. Substituting player must not enter the field of play until active player has reached the sideline.

  • Time Outs: There will be no time outs.

  • Passes Required: One attempted pass needed at K/2 & 3/4 level no passes required at 5/6, Modified, JV, Varsity, or Open divisions.

  • Deputy Goalie Clear: Allowed at K/2 & 3/4 only.
